Invitation to the event aboard the “Santa Maria Manuela” at the SACHSEN Sail in Monaco

We are pleased to invite you to an exceptional day aboard the splendid sailing ship Santa Maria Manuela, as part of the SACHSEN Sail event in Monaco on June 6th.

This day will be dedicated to dialogue and exploring sustainability issues, in the presence of key regional stakeholders, entrepreneurs, and delegates from Leipzig, Saxony, and Central Germany.

Morning:

  • 09:30 AM: Meeting point at the Santa Maria Manuela (Quai l'Hirondelle, see map).
  • 10:00 AM: Company visit to the Mission for Energy Transition of Monaco
    (18, Allée Lazare SAUVAIGO, 98000 MONACO).

Afternoon:

  • 01:00 PM: Arrival on board the Santa Maria Manuela, refreshments.
  • 01:30 PM: Welcome speeches by Markus Kossmann, President of SACHSEN Sail, and Arnaud Auerbach, President of the Franco-German Business Club of Nice.
  • 01:45 PM: Conference: “The Côte d’Azur: A Hotspot for Business and International Cooperation”, presented by Arnaud Auerbach.
  • 02:05 PM: Presentation: “Sustainability through Photovoltaics – What Are the Limits and Opportunities?” by Danny Wehnert, Leipziger Energie.
  • 02:25 PM: Presentation: “Electrification in the Transport Sector (Buses and Trucks) in Major European Countries: Germany, France, and the UK”, by Hanno Klausmeier, Managing Director, VEV Platform Services France.
  • 02:45 PM: Panel Discussion: “Energy Storage for Municipalities – Easing Pressure on Power Grids”, moderated by Jörn Jacobs, Redgryd GmbH Leipzig/Dresden.
  • 03:15 PM: Academic Perspective: “Sustainability from the Viewpoint of Merseburg University”, with Markus Krabbes, Rector of Merseburg University.
  • 03:45 PM: Coffee break.
  • 04:15 PM: Legal Focus: “Development of Supply Chain Due Diligence and Sustainability Reporting – A French-German Comparison with EU Outlook”, by Verena Moll, COLIBER LEGAL Paris.
  • 04:45 PM: Talk: “Sustainable Event Management – Requirements and Challenges”, by Dr. Andreas Knaut, Director of Communication and Marketing / Spokesperson of Leipziger Messe.
  • 05:15 PM: Address by the Monaco Economic Board (Monaco Chamber of Commerce).
  • 05:40 PM: Speech: “Impulse: Challenges of Franco-German Relations”, by Dr. Matthias Nikolaus WAECHTER, Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Nice.
  • 05:50 PM: Closing remarks and transition to the evening reception.

Evening:

  • 06:30 PM: Grand Reception for delegations from Saxony, Southern France, and Monaco aboard the Santa Maria Manuela.
